Corinne Lowe, joint lead officer food and nutrition, Trading Standards Institute.
Corinne has worked in trading standards for more than 15 years and has also worked within a variety of food industries. She is currently working as a trading standards officer with Flintshire County Council, which has a very large food industry base, including being the primary authority officer for a national food retailer based in Flintshire. Corrine has had a long-standing interest in food issues, combining her interests in food and law, with a degree in consumer protection and a diploma in trading standards.
Corinne is joint lead officer for food and nutrition for the Trading Standards Institute, the body representing the national interests of the trading standards profession. This role involved participation inĀ government discussions and consultations, responding to legal consultations on food law and guidance, as well as dealing with national press queries including radio and TV interviews on food standards issues. Corinne is also a Lead Officer for food in Wales, where she responds to legal consultations on food issues from the Welsh Assembly government and the Food Standards Agency Wales.
